Netflix for iPhone Confirmed!

Netflix is definitely the best movie distribution service available today. In fact of all the services I’m subscribed to Netflix is probably my favorite. Currently there are over 12 million Netflix subscribers! With the release of their instant play options (this is a service which allows you to stream a large amount of their content straight off the internet so you don’t have to wait for their movies to arrive to you via mail).

With the instant play service subscribers have been wanting new ways to watch this content instead of just watching it through a computer or home theatre PC. Well netflix has expanded this to certain Blu-ray players, high end televisions, and even to game consoles such as the Xbox 360 and PS3. These have been great hits and have only increased the number of subscribers to the Netflix service.

If you noticed though although you can watch Netflix instant play on a variety of players and places, one place you still can not get this content through mobile devices, well that changed with the release of the iPad Netflix app, this app was released with the release of the iPad and according to Netflix has been a HUGE hit! Thanks to the amount of interest in the iPad app, one of our biggest wishes for the iPhone is coming true! Netflix announced on their blog that they are now working on releasing a Netflix streaming app for the iPhone!

With this in mind if this app takes off on the iPhone I’m sure there will be an Android app in no time!
